Ceramic pin tray or centerpiece in the shape of duck with its beak wide open. He made of enameled earthenware and signed beneath "Lachenal".
He was created circa 1900 by the french ceramist Edmond Lachenal (1855-1955?)

He was hired by Theodore Deck to run his workshop and won several medals at Great Exhibitions (Vienna in 1873 and Paris in 1889). He also worked for Hector Guimard and Auguste Rodin.
Edmond Lachenal loved to produce ducks; they exist in several colours and this one with its blue tone is rare.
