Sleeve-form vase in fine cream-glazed faience, exquisitely hand-painted with vibrant exotic birds perched amid lush foliage. The detailed polychrome decoration is masterfully rendered, with rich tones and precise brushwork, further enhanced by delicate gilt highlights, the gilding to the upper rims has been carefully restored.

Both vases are impressed on the reverse with, a mark used by the Creil & Montereau manufactory during the tenure of director Barluet, who led the company from 1876 until his death in 1884. This hallmark attests to the authenticity and period of these finely crafted decorative pieces.

Very good overall condition with tastefully refreshed gilding.

A rare and refined example of late 19th-century French decorative arts, combining technical finesse with artistic sophistication.
