Silver-plated metal soup tureen made by Franco Lapini in the late 20th century. The rounded body and lid are entirely hand-hammered. The lateral handles and finial are sculpted and finely chiselled in the form of artichoke stems, leaves and buds. A functional and eminently sculptural piece, conceived around the interplay of surface and light

Founded in 1963, the Franco Lapini workshop is based in Calenzano, just a few kilometres from Florence. It creates highly exclusive table accessories and objects, crafted entirely by hand using ancient and immediately recognisable techniques, mastered to perfection, such as hammering, chasing and repoussé. Forms and inspiration draw directly from the lavish banquets of the Florentine Renaissance, giving rise to exceptional pieces designed to adorn and distinguish the finest tables.
Two pieces available.
