Gilt Enameled Glass service Leveillé Maison Toy circa 1889
Exceptional naturalist style set belonging to the "Aesthetic Movement" includes 6 glasses and a large decanter, with en embossed decoration in gold enamel with birds, dragonflies and plants.
Decanter signed underneath in gilt letters "MAISON TOY / 6 RUE HALEVY / PARIS".

The glass set is of great finesse with a pleated effect. The Venetian rib style was probably done by Daum, which was his specialty.
The design of the set could be attributed to, Ernest-Baptiste Léveillé (1841-1913) close to Eugène Rousseau and a recognized master glassmaker. Maison Toy sold its models and products in the late 19th century.
