This presentation comport, crafted in glazed earthenware, elegantly reflects the naturalistic taste that characterised Choisy-le-Roi's production in the second half of the 19th century. The piece bears witness to a remarkable attention to detail, particularly visible in the finely striated surface of the nautilus shell, and to an accomplished mastery of the coloured glazes for which this manufactory was renowned. A very small chip is visible on the nautilus shell. Overall very good condition.
